No contest.
In response to an earlier comment (you know who you are, anonymous!) I present photographic evidence that I am clearly much better looking than Gavin - just take a look at his hastily assembled disguise: the cheap sunglasses, the obviously false beard, and where did he get that hat? Plus you can tell from the shape of his earlobes he has criminal tendencies.

We clearly have examples of the neolithic tree dwelling barbarian and a worker from the first phase of Stonehenge ditch construction (pictured in order) but the missing link is, well er, missing!

Photographic evidence of the mysterious 'missing link' is extremely rare, and it's authenticity is open to question. Some expeditions to the remoter parts of the Isle of Wight, however, have recently recorded legends among the primitive native tribes of a strange 'Old Man of the Woods', occasionally glimpsed in the depths of a particularly dense beard in the Wroxall area. This creature is extremely shy, so it may be some time before these reports can be corroborated...

P. Knight (or more correctly Piltdown knight) was widely believed to be related to the Simpsons during the latter part of the 20th century & the taxonomy was revised accordingly. However, further investigation by a team of anthropologists revealed P. knight to be an elaborate ruse, cobbled together from various spare parts. The specimen was displayed for many years in the New Fairlop Oak in Barkingside but has since disappeared, and is now believed to be in China, where people will believe anything...
